City Bike Plans

A Bicycle Master Plan (BMP) is a municipal government document that describes long-term planning for bicycle infrastructure in a city. A BMP particularly emphasizes creating safer streets for cyclists, improving and augmenting bike routes, and promoting bicycling as a viable option for commuting and transportation. A city’s BMP usually details bike routes in the city and plans to connect bike lanes to create continuous, safe bicycling routes. Below are the most recent BMPs for several selected cities, with an focus on Southern California. Click on the city’s name to open the pdf for each BMP.
